The Infamous Bunny Bench

Almost since the time we moved to California, Aunt Karen has been obsessed with creating a Bunny Bench to place in her garden. She enlisted a friend who lives here in Dana Point to build a bench with this theme. When he finished it, she began to entreat various people to help her paint it. After all of the help Aunt Karen has given to our family during our time here in California, but mostly because of the huge debt we owe her for sewing Noelle's wedding dress, we finally began to pay down our debt to her. In early August Eric, Cassy Ginn & I went to Orange and sanded and primered the wood. We then loaded the bench in the van and brought it back to Dana Point, knowing that we would get more work done on it here if we kept tripping over it in the garage. Danica & Jaclyn Kremer helped paint carrots during there visit here and Eric put a good base coat on the remaining areas while I was in Utah. Finally I put my artistic endeavors to work and created a bunny on a bed of grass. On Labor Day we loaded the finished product back into the van and returned it to it's home on Karen's back patio. Bunny & owner are doing well!
